Soccer Shirts

Soccer shirts aid both game participants and viewers in distinguishing between players. It is standard practice for a team to have at least two sets of uniforms. This helps in the event that they compete with a team which has similar colors.

It is common for soccer shirts to provide the last name or nick name of a player. Often, the uniforms may also display the logo of a sponsor. Under this circumstance, a tournament or competition will often have specific requirements for the size and placement of the logo.

Soccer shirts are also known for being numbered. In the history of association football, these numbers originally would correspond with a player's position. However, that practice has changed. Today, squad numbering generally takes place. Under this practice, a player is either assigned or allowed to choose a number to last the whole season.
