Soccer Equipment
Soccer equipment includes kit and other materials. The
word "kit" is used to describe all the standard items which
players wear. Some of these items are required while others are recommended
or simply "allowed." Of course, this all depends on the circumstances
under which someone is playing.
Standard rules for soccer equipment are found within The Laws of the
Game. These were written by IFAB, the International Football Association
Board. These rules also have and are maintained by the organization
through today.
Restrictions of soccer equipment may also be placed within specific
competitions. These may pertain to such matters as logo size. There
are also regulations which deal with appropriate uniform colors during
competition. This is not true only for soccer, but other sports as well.
Regulations are set on basketball, hockey, and
tennis equipment as well.
